Community Activities

While the majority of AODB's social activities are focused towards communities and the people of Bihar, it's involvement in the local community is equally well known and admired. From the Indian Independence Day Parade in Fremont to the Holi and Diwali celebrations, the organization actively promotes cultural exchanges and social events that bring together people not only from Bihar, but from all over the world!!

In organizing these events, AODB has always had multiple objectives:

• They involve our children, our future generation, in meaningful social and cultural activities that help preserve our rich cultural heritage
• They serve an import role in the education of our community regarding the multi-faceted problems and issues facing our communities back in Bihar and elsewhere
• Some events like our Diwali festivities serve as an opportunity to mobilize our community to share their good fortune with others
• Lastly, but certainly not less important, they are excellent opportunities for our patrons and our guests to sit back and enjoy the wonderful programs that are presented by some very talented (and in some cases, very young!) artistes.

In addition to the cultural events, AODB also organizes several educational events at which it invites key participants from government, social organizations and business.
